Someone just gave me a little wooden cross -WHY?

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The wooden cross you have been given is a physical gift, it cost someone, somewhere, something.

God intentionally gave the world a gift in physical form, Jesus. Jesus lived a perfect and blameless life before willingly giving up that life as a sacrifice for all so that we, no matter who we are or the life we have led might enter into a relationship with a pure and loving God.

That relationship we can never earn for ourselves as we are all sinful (lie, cheat, steal and a whole lot more) and fall short of God's standards. Ask Jesus for forgiveness, thank him for what he has done and ask him to come into your life today and he will help you through your struggles, whatever that looks like for you - without judgement or condemnation.
